Why I'm Running

I am running to continue on the Leander ISD Board of Trustees because every child deserves access to an excellent education meeting their needs, every family deserves meaningful partnership, and LISD deserves caring and informed leadership that puts students at the center of every decision.

"I want every parent to feel like the local public school is the best option for their child. I'm committed to making that a reality, not just for some kids, but for every single one."

What I Bring to the Board

LISD Parent and Advocate

As a mother of elementary students who needed something more, I know firsthand what it feels like to navigate the system, hope that someone on the other side of the table truly sees your child, and find the community of parents and educators who care just as deeply as you do. That experience is personal, and it shapes everything about how I approach this work.

Proven Leadership in Leander ISD

I have years of hands-on involvement in Leander ISD through PTA leadership, site-based committees, and the Special Programs Advisory Council Executive Board (SPPAC) before joining the Board of Trustees. As the Advocacy Chair of the SPPAC, I worked with administration to make improvements in response to parent feedback.

Student-Centered Expertise

Through both my professional experience and my journey as a parent, I understand what helps children thrive and what makes it harder. I have worked alongside dedicated educators and administrators who show up every day for kids, and have seen the difference it makes when schools, families, and communities work together toward the same goal.

A Voice for Teachers & Staff

I understand the pressures educators face and am committed to supporting teachers. I also advocate for reducing unnecessary burdens and helping Leander ISD retain excellent staff.

Evidence-Informed, Data-Driven Decisions

I believe quality decisions start with quality information. I ask questions and look carefully at data to guide evidence-based decisions. I also believe the people closest to the work have invaluable insight and that the best decisions happen when those voices are part of the process.

Systems Thinker and Collaborator

I approach complex challenges by looking at the whole picture, identifying root causes, and finding solutions that work. I also know that the best outcomes happen when trustees, administrators, educators, families, and community partners are working together toward shared goals.
